His contributions extend to shaping target setting methodologies, impact indicators, and the design of Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) transformative investments. This visionary work has resulted in substantial achievements, including large-scale carbon sequestration and biodiversity restoration. Pierre, an economist and ESSEC Business School graduate, boasts over 30 years’ expertise in Industrial Marketing, covering in particular waste management and agroforestry projects across Middle-East and Africa. As the owner of Delcroix Consulting, he leads interdisciplinary teams, specializing in waste recycling and industrial decarbonization with a focus on pyrogasification technology for syngaz production and biochar for soil fertilization.

Dolapo Odulana
Dolapo, a seasoned forestry and environmental consultant with an academic background in Forestry Resources Management and MBA, brings over 24 years of experience from serving in various capacities within the Government of Ogun State, Nigeria. His notable roles include serving as Director at the Ogun State Forestry ministry, and as Permanent Secretary to the state. A distinguished ambassador of the Forestry Association of Nigeria, Dolapo represented Ogun State at the Conference of Parties on climate change (COP 21) in Paris in 2015.

Dolapo, an esteemed forestry and environmental consultant, holds a B.Sc. in Forestry Resources Management from the University of Ibadan and an MBA from the University of Calabar, Cross Rivers State, Nigeria. His illustrious career spans over 24 years of dedicated service within the Government of Ogun State, Nigeria, where he played pivotal roles in the Forestry Ministry. Notably, he served as the Forestry Programs Director at the Ogun State Forestry Plantation Project, a significant undertaking assisted by IBRD/ADB, before concluding his service as a distinguished Permanent Secretary to the State.
Beyond his impactful governmental roles, Dolapo represented Ogun State at the Conference of Parties on climate change (COP 21) in Paris, France, in 2015, showcasing his commitment to global environmental initiatives. Olivier embarked on his business journey in the Automotive Industry at Renault Inc. in the USA before starting in 1992 an International Banking career in the French “Agence Française de Développement” – AFD – group). Serving at PROPARCO as CFO, Olivier then lead the Nigerian office from 2012, where he guided cumulative investments of USD 705 million across sectors like banking, Private Equity funds, infrastructure, agroindustry, and health in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Bala Haruna Gukut
Bala, is a seasoned Forester, Natural Resources and Environmental Management expert, graduated from the Nigerian universities of Jos and Bayero. Bala then rose through the ranks in the Federal Service to the position of Director. Notably, he played a key role in coordinating and establishing the Land Degradation Neutrality (LDN) Target for Nigeria and served as the National Focal Point for the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification from 2016 to 2019.

A graduate of the University of Jos with advanced credentials including a Post Graduate Diploma and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Bayero University in Kano, Bala has started his professional journey in the Federal Ministry of Environment, where he ascended through the ranks, attaining the prestigious position of Director.
His strategic vision and administrative prowess were further evident as he took on the role of Assistant Project Manager for the Integrated Ecosystem Management Project in the trans-boundary area between Nigeria and Niger Republic. Bala’s dedication to environmental stewardship reached an international scale when he served as the National Focal Point for Nigeria for the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification from 2016 to 2019. In this capacity, he played a crucial role in shaping and implementing initiatives to combat desertification, showcasing his commitment to global environmental sustainability.
